Health Services

Vision

Vision coverage is a health benefit that may cover some of your vision care. This may include eye exams and, sometimes, glasses. Your vision provider may provide these services for both adults and children.

Though general eye care is available, our clinic does not write corrective lens prescriptions or provide eyewear. Contact lens wearers should bring extra lenses and a pair of glasses. If you wear glasses, be sure to bring two pairs, along with a current prescription. Glasses for active duty beneficiaries with a current prescription may be ordered by the Branch Medical Clinic. However, this is a slow process. All beneficiaries should bring sunglasses designed to block ultraviolet rays, even if they don’t wear glasses regularly.
